Air France Cabin/Travel Class

Air France provides three or four types of travel cabins depending upon different circumstances, routes or aircraft type.

1- AIRFRANCE La Première

This is Air France’s First Class Cabin offered only on Boeing 777-300ER aircrafts. This cabin is the most luxurious travel class offered by Air France. It includes a number of premium amenities or benefits. La Première cabins are equipped with luxurious seats made of wood and leather by the best designers in the business. These seats are, adjustable and convertible to two-meter long full beds. You’ll find a 10.4” personal touch screen loaded with a number of audios, videos and interactive games. Seats also have auto massage features and there is a personal reading light, storage drawer, noise-cancelling headphones, USB charging ports and a laptop power port. On selected locations you’ll be provided by a personal cab that will take you to the airport right from your home. As soon as you reach airport, you will be greeted by Airlines’ representatives who will assist you through the rest of your formalities including priority check-in and boarding. When it comes to food, Air France offers award winning dining prepared by starred chefs. All of them are the blend of taste, freshness and original ingredients. Selective wines and a variety of beverages will add more to your drinks experience. First Class flyers are entertained with access to premium airport lounges offering great comfort and a number of related services.

2- AIRFRANCE Business Class

This cabin is offered on all long-haul aircrafts. Comfortable travel is guaranteed under Business Class of Air France as these cabins are well designed by beautiful architectures, comfortable seating with personalize experience. All the seats are convertible to fully stretched, two-meter beds with 180 degree recline. Seats also have auto massage features and there is a personal reading light, storage drawer, noise-cancelling headphones, USB charging ports and a laptop power port. A 10.4” TV screen offers plenty of entertainment i.e. premium audio-videos and games. In new upgrades, a 16 in screen is provided with easy user interaction in multiple languages. Priority boarding and access to VIP airport lounges are provided across all types of Business Class under Air France. A premium and diverse dining is the specialty of the cabin. Starters, hot dishes, great tastes, a variety of alcoholic and non- alcoholic drinks altogether make it a magical experience for you. 3- AIRFRANCE Premium Economy Class

Air France’s Premium Economy Class is a good option to upgrade from economy. Cabin configuration is 2-4-2 that enables easy and quick access to the aisle. The cabin offers facilities like larger and more reclining seats (up to 1230) with more comfort and legroom. Seats are well designed and covered, equipped with soft pillows and blankets and adjustable headrest. Extra services in this room include a water bottle at the time of boarding, a comfort kit containing socks, eye mask, toothpaste, toothbrush, earplugs etc. A 10.4” screen, personal reading lamp, universal power ports are available to make it more convenient for you. The self check-in options are available through interactive KIOSK on airport or by visiting the official website or mobile app of the airline. You also get more baggage allowance and access to airport lounges* under Premium Economy. The dining offers a variety of options, regardless of your destination. 4- AIRFRANCE Economy Class

This is the basic economy class offered by AIRFRANCE on all long-haul and short-haul flights. AIRFRANCE is one of the few airlines that feature winged headrest on short to medium-haul aircrafts. Seats are comparatively larger than those provided in the Economy Classes generally. There is more legroom and convenience of access to the seats and the aisle. Complimentary drinks, a personal telephone, a touch screen TV are some amenities provided under the Economy Class of AIRFRANCE. The Airline has introduced a new Economy Class on some long-haul aircrafts. Under this category seats are wider, adjustable with more legroom. Wider table, universal electrical socket, retractable armrest, winged leather headrest, more storage space, USB ports, headphone holders are some other amenities.

Complimentary snacks and beverages are offered on almost all type of Economy Classes. You can choose them from a long list of options or menu. Loads of music, videos, e-newspapers are available for your entertainment.

AIRFRANCE Baggage Policy

AIRFRANCE run a generous baggage policy. There are some common terms and conditions for any of your baggage. The baggage allowance may differ depending on the type of ticket, journey, destination or routes. Here is all about the baggage policy of AIRFRANCE-

AIRFRANCE Baggage Allowance

Carry-on or Hand Baggage

You are allowed to carry on-hand baggage with the following measurements-

Maximum Dimension for Carry-on or Hand Baggage-

55 X 35 X 25 cm or 21.6 X 13.7 X 9.8 in (including pocket, wheels and handles.

Maximum Weight for Carry-on or Hand Baggage –

· in Economy Class the weight of the hand baggage should not exceed 12 kg/26.4 lb

· In premium Economy, Business and La Première the maximum weight limit is 18 kg/40 lb

Personal Items- You are allowed to bring one personal item in addition to your hand baggage. Personal item shouldn’t be bigger than 40 X 30 X 15 cm/15.7 X 11.8 X 5.8 in

· Personal Items may be one bag or satchel or a bag- for your computer, camera or any electronic device.

· All these items must fit under the seat in front of you or in the overhead bin.

Checked Baggage

Checked baggage allowance may differ depending on your ticket, fare type, travel class etc.

No. of Checked Baggage and Weight-

Economy cabin- from 0 to 2 checked bags weighing up to 23 kg/50 lb. each.

Premium Economy cabin- 2 checked bags weighing up to 23 kg/50 lb each.

Business cabin- 2 checked baggage items weighing up to 32 kg/70 lb each.

La Première cabin- 3 checked bags weighing up to 32 kg/70 lb each.

Maximum Dimension For Checked Baggage- 158 cm or 62.2 in (a+b+c) including pocket, wheels and handles.

Flying Blue or Sky Team Elite and Elite Plus Members:

The members under these categories may check one extra bag however the dimension and weight limits may vary depending on the category of cabin.

AIRFRANCE Oversized and Overweight Baggage

If any of your baggage exceeds the permitted size and weight limit, you’ll have to pay charges for them at the airport.

If your baggage’s dimensions exceed 158 cm/62.2 in., but not 300 cm/118 in., you will need to pay an additional fee at the airport. The fee amount depends on your booking.

Baggage items measuring between 158 cm/62.2 in. and 300 cm/118 in., must be dropped at the “Oversized Baggage” counter.

AIRFRANCE Additional or Extra Baggage

If you have more items than the permitted limit, you can purchase more baggage allowance.

You can carry a maximum of 10 checked baggage (allowed baggage+ purchased baggage) on each individual ticket.

AIRFRANCE offers discount deals on extra baggage purchase.

AIRFRANCE Change, Cancellation and Refund Policy

There several conditions when your ticket gets cancelled or you have to cancel/change your ticket. AIRFRANCE care for your convenience and thus offers an easy an transparent cancellation, change and refund policy. Let us go through some general terms and conditions for cancellation-

Passengers are eligible for a full refund for Air France cancellation if they cancel the flight within 24 hours of booking or departing the flight.

Under Air France’s cancellation policy, the airline could ask passengers to pay a $125 cancellation fee if they cancel the flight after 24 hours.

Passengers can cancel the flight visiting the official website of AIRFRANCE.

If you cancel the flight 1 hour before departure, the amount after deducting service tax and other government taxes will be refunded to your original source of payment used for booking.

If you fulfill all the conditions of Air France’s cancellation policy, you will be eligible for a refund. You can check the progress of your refund process on “Manage My Booking” option available on the official website of AIRFRANCE.

The refund amount is remitted to the source within 3-4 working days.

24 Hours Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your ticket within the first 24 hours of the booking, you are eligible for full refund according to the AIRFRANCE 24 hours cancellation policy.

The Air France 24-hour cancellation policy applies to all tickets booked directly through Air France (website, mobile app, ticket counter or call center) and from the United States. Under this policy, you can cancel your flight booking without penalty if you cancel your ticket within 24 hours of booking, if you make the reservation at least one week before your flight’s departure, if you book your ticket for a flight from or to the United States.

However AIRFRANCE has the right to change the 24 hour cancellation policy anytime.

AIRFRANCE Change Policy

The Air France flight change policy allows you to make changes to your ticket if the fare conditions on your ticket allow flight changes (following the airlines’ terms and condition). Some general rules for change in ticket are as follows-

• You can modify your ticket if the fare conditions on your ticket allow you to do so.

• The fare conditions of your ticket will be mentioned on your booking confirmation mail and ticket.

• Changeable tickets can be modified by phone or online.

AIRFRANCE Cancelled Flight Policy

There are various reasons when airline cancel a flight. If airline does so, you are eligible to opt for other flights offered by the airlines or for full refund.

AIRFRANCE Refund Policy

If you’re eligible, the representative will start the refund process as soon as you place a request for it.

Refund may take up to 3-4 business days to get transferred.

The entire refunded amount will be transferred to the original mode of payment used for booking the ticket.
